To evaluate the safety, visual performance, and patient satisfaction of a new
\npresbyopic pseudophakic intraocular lens (IOL).<\/p>\n
An ambispective non-randomized study was performed in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
\nPatients included in the study underwent a programmed femtosecond laser-assisted cataract
\nsurgery (FLACS), performed between October 2020 and September 2021, with a 24-month
\nfollow-up period. The Intensity SL (Hanita Lenses) IOL was bilaterally implanted. Uncorrected
\ndistance, intermediate, and near visual acuity (UDVA\/UIVA\/UNVA, respectively), and defocus
\ncurve as well as safety parameters were measured, and patient satisfaction was evaluated
\nwith the VF-14 QOL questionnaire.<\/p>\n
A total of 120 eyes of 60 patients (34 women and 26 men) aged 68.32\u00b18.9years
\n(54\u201385) were included. At the last follow-up, the mean monocular UDVA in eyes (n=120) with
\nan Intensity SL IOL implanted was 0.01\u00b10.07logMAR, and the corrected distance visual
\nacuity (CDVA) was \u22120.05\u00b10.06logMAR. For 120cm, mean UIVA was 0.06\u00b10.11logMAR; for
\n80cm, mean UIVA was 0.07\u00b10.07 logMAR; for 66cm, mean UIVA was 0.05\u00b10.07 logMAR
\nand for 40cm, mean UNVA was 0.09\u00b10.08 logMAR (\u22120.1 to 0.2). The mean binocular UDVA
\nin our patient group was \u22120.05\u00b10.05logMAR. Glare and halo were rare phenomena. Patient
\nsatisfaction was high. The mean score value of the VF-14 QOL questionnaire 24 months
\npostoperatively was 98.6.<\/p>\n
Patients underwent safe bilateral implantation with Intensity SL IOL, achieving
\nspectacle independence in most cases, and reported a high degree of satisfaction, refraction,

At two years postoperatively, patients demonstrated excellent uncorrected visual acuity across far, intermediate, and near distances (binocular UDVA \u22120.05 \u00b1 0.05 logMAR; UIVA 0.009 \u00b1 0.05; UNVA 0.04 \u00b1 0.06). Visual stability was maintained between the 6- and 24-month follow-ups. Dysphotopsias such as glare and halos were rare and mild. Patient satisfaction was remarkably high, with 95% reporting being \u00ab\u00a0very satisfied\u00a0\u00bb and 100% indicating they would choose the same IOL again.
